A jazzy – flavoured project conceived under the Vesuv Volcano (the studio is located only 8 km from the Volcano) by Marco De Falco (a.k.a. Spiral), one of the most appreciated music machine manipulator in Italy and Francesco Piccinno, a jazz piano musician based in Paris and one of the most important piano player in the Italian jazz scene. As well as other well known jazz musicians such as Audun Waage (from NYJG and Optical Substance), an eclectic trumpet player specialized in Nu Jazz and Electronica, originally coming from Norway and based in London. And also Dana, the female voice from the band Diva.
This melting pot of musicians is focused on seductive atmospheres, acoustic alchemies mixed with a new electronic point of view. The basic instruments played, like guitar, piano, bass trumpet and keyboards are combined with samples and loops that give a club direction to the project, the name: DECÒ, which is also their state of mind …
Coming from the art form Art Decò, “Decò’s” music can be seen as a luxury point of view of architecture, an elegant life style that prefers essential forms, materials, colors to the linear formulas and sinuosity.
In this album Decò takes the listener on a trip that will involves the soul, the spirit and fantasies. We call it Nu-Jazz, Electronic Lounge … or simply … cool music.
